How gloriously simple

This would be


But simplicity

Is a technical thing

To produce



If you seek the truth

You will not find it easily


The analysis of religion

Is the analysis of man kind

And to attempt to equate it

With being a realistic

Comprehension of God

Is pure ego




The lowest of the people

Know little of God

And Religion


Beyone Bilnd Faith


Their lives are filled

With Mysteries and faith

They can little understand


As we go higher up

In the tree of man

Those who have a greater

Comprehension

Know even less



We can not compare the image-adoration

Of the Roman Church

To the Eikon-worship

Of the Greek Church

To find answers



TRUE comprehension

Lies within

Waiting to be found


And not in any book


Know all books for what they are


Books


If we NEED to have teachers

Better not to have teachers at all

If we need to have BOOKS

Better not to have books



Within this Grimoir lays the truth


But it will teach you nothing

That you do not already know



The origin of Christianity

Is almost part of our conciousness

It is part and parcel

Of our earliest recollections

But once we begin to need more

Of the greatest story ever told

Conflict begins


If we examine it against a Historical Background

We find it has no valid reference

Beyond the basics

Of Blind Faith


A true researcher

Who studies the first two centuries a.d.

And the inumerable Tomes and Scrolls

Immediately discovers

HUNDREDS of variations

THOUSANDS of sub-variables

And only continuing on

Brings a closer understanding

Of where we began


Using Christianity as an OUTLINE

And doing intensive study

To fill in the blanks

Provides a more comprehensive understanding

Of the life and times of SOCIETY

Trying to express the LIGHT

With INTIMATE points of reference


And it separates us

From those trying to boast

That THEIR particular belief

Has the study of Religion

Down to a science



Many of them laid claim

That it was ABSOLUTELY POSSIBLE

To 'know' the things of the soul

As completely as those of the body

And boasted of a WORLD PHILOSOPHY

Capable of intellectual comprehension

Enough to satisfy

The most STRINGENT of seekers



And yet MOST attempts remain

INCOMPREHENSIBLE



The Gnostic schools strove

For knowledge of God

The gnosis of things that are


WISDOM was our goal


We were known by many names

But none really KNEW us


They strove to RIDICULE us

With claims that the 'Gnostics'

Followed a FALSE path


And THEY said we claimed

That exclusive Knowledge

To the ONLY path

In an effort to demean us


What they couldn't understand

And the PEOPLE in thise times

Never realised

Was who we REALLY were



The Primitive Church SCREAMED at us

To COVER UP the FACT

That all THEY were doing

Was attempting to control

A section of the public

The same way the PAGAN community did


With DRUGS and PROSTITUTION

And with loose Moral Fiber

Used as ENTICEMENTS

To draw in unsuspecting followers

For only the small price

Of a piece of their SOUL


And yet all along

All WE really claimed

Was that Gnosis was a PATH

And God was the WAY



The Church Fathers often tell us

That the doctrine of the Gnosis

Is but a combination of philosophies

Of Plato and Hericletus

Of Pythagoras and Aristotle

Of Initiations and Mysteries

From Egyptian and Pagan LORE


And not of Christ


And they boast to be the ONLY ones

To be the inheritors of Christs Illumination


But they had discovered Gnosticism

Once they bothered to LOOK

And Public Knowledge of us expanded

In a world that had previously not CARED

About such things as Christ

And the ONE God


What the Primitive Churches

Failed to understand

What they failed to see

Was that we had BEEN there

All along


Watching closely

Observing silently

Studying reaction

Learning continually

Growing spiritually

Expanding constantly


These new-born 'Christians'

Just learning to stand

Still wet behind the ears

Emerged from the Flood

Of the drowning beliefs

Of Paganistic practices

And dead end beliefs

Oft thought us to be

Spawn of Satan



In their IGNORANCE

They failed to COMPREHEND

And pushed us aside

While we had waited so long

For them to grow

And once we TAUGHT them of

THe Separation of the Sophis/Sophia

They turned their backs on us

In fear


For who, they reasoned

Could have learned SO FAST

About Christ before THEY did ?

And yet there we were

Another school of thought


We had knowledge of Christ

Before these Heritics

From ancient times

And ancient beliefs

And Pagan practices

Became ANYTHING Christian



And it scared them



A TRUE student

Of Christian Enlightenment

Would do WELL

To study the soil

Where the seed was sown

And pay less ATTENTION

To the worms



Without careful understanding of the times

In which the events took place

The serious student

Fails to comprehend

Realities INTRICACIES well enough

And any effort at serious study

Becomes an effort in flagtante delicto

Against the reality of Religion

And spirals downwards

Into the falsehood of

A Faith developed

Bolstered by only guesswork

And assumption


We must keep in mind

At all times

That the Information is TAINTED

With the OPINIONISMS

And the PREJUDICES

Of the competing PHILOSOPHIES

That were trying to become

The LARGER following

And thereby take over

Control of the POPULATION



It can not be denied

That Religion was first used

As a TOOL

To take over control

Of the people

Before it became REFINED enough

To use as a form of Leadership

And the ROOTS

Of ALL Religious belief systems

Were FIRST used in that way

LONG before they became
A Riteous endeavor



Denying that others had glimmers of REALITY

Was STANDARD back when man

First learned to control

His fellow man

With perversions of TRUTH

And MANIPULATIONS

Of their beliefs

And Fears



If one could manage

To CONVINCE enough people

That THEY were the only ones

With the only TRUTH

And the 'others' were false teachers

Of Myths and Herasies of reality


Conversion became easier


And soon enough opposing FORCES

Gained enough strength in NUMBERS

To justify ANY means used

To dismember the competition



Tensions ran HIGH back then

And the competitive nature

Of the temples and schools

Teaching the various Philosophies

Often times needed a means

To justify their actions

Words like Heracy and Daemon Worship

Became fine WEAPONS

In the war of Religions



As each new Religion sprang up

Each PERCEPTION of the 'truth'

Gained momentum

The rubber band stretched tighter

And the walls of Religion

Closed in a little more

Choking the common man

Searching for Salvation



The competing forces

Used ANY means they could

To distain the competition



Often times

They made claims against

The very GODS themselves

That THEIR particular cult didn't follow

As a means of ridicule and degradation

Using WORDS and ACCUSATIONS

Like WEAPONS

Against their 'enemies'

So as to glorify their OWN teachings



They managed to keep

The people guessing

And Tithing

And let mans drive

To be Sentiently Religious

Fall by the wayside

In a driving effort

To confound and confuse

While they collected the Tithe


Much to historys remorse


And realitys loss



Who KNOWS how many innocent people

Were killed in the name of Religion

Under a barrage of accusations

And paranoid claims

That were further from truth

Than the accusers OWN beliefs

And misconceptions

Had driven them


And the Religious ZEALOTS

Not only LET it happen

But CAUSED it

With Lies and Biggotry

Born in Fear and Paranoia

While swearing to their followers

That their God wanted them

To DESTROY the DAEMONS

In order to protect

Their OWN beliefs

Their Families

And Children


And the people RESPONDED

Not knowing that their LEADERS

Were the DAEMONS

They needed to get rid of

In the first place



Paganism had started out that way

Judaeism had started out that way

And Christianity as well

Started out the same way

But the multitude of the city was divided:
and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.
