Egypt

Egypt had given her wisdom openly to Greece as early as 300 b.c.

The Ptolemaic leaders who studied stars while Greece studied humanity were perhaps
the first to participate in open exchange on all levels

Aparently they even assisted in translation of their script over to Greek

Manetho had established a working association with the Egyptians early on, and spent most
of his waking time to translating Egyptian lore and Mystic comprehension into his native toung

The doctrines set forth must have had a greatly percieved value for him to dedicate so much of
his time and life into the transcribing of their Wisdoms

Manetho had managed to pass on the wisdom and traditions of Thoth (egyptian: Tehuti), whose
name, Jambilichus once commented, was 'common to all Priests', meaning that he felt that it was
THE inspirational force of the Wisdom Traditions at that time

That they also had an effect on many parts of Grecian Culture is equally obvious

No doubt his work was so complete that even Plutarch drew on them for his treatise

Nor can we deny that they had DIRECT effect on Greek Trismegistic literature

Grecian Scholars found inumerable similies and uncountable points of contact within the
theosophic treatices, and they soon became the manuals, so to speak, for instruction into the
Inner Circles of the Hermetic Schools and Mystic Communities
